Cosmetic Upgrades

This is one of the first mods I did to my Z3 during March 2000. It was a perfect wintertime project, it was inexpensive and could be done quickly in my unheated garage.

The stock Z3 has black plastic mesh inserts in the gill cavities. I had been reading some articles on the bimmer.org message board about how easy it was to remove the gills and paint the mesh.

Jon Maddux works for Boeing, but runs a custom leather business on the side called LeatherZ. He handcrafts wonderful leather covered accessories for the Z3 that really "make" the interior.

I purchased the Hamman pedal covers from a member of the Z3 Message Board at roadfly.org during late winter 2000

Ron Stygar discovered that the chromed windshield washer nozzles from the Z8 would fit the Z3 with some minor adjustments, making for a classy update to the factory black plastic nozzles
