20 Sunday morning we were scheduled for a cultural and culinary walking tour of Vancouver's Chinatown starting at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Park and Garden. Dr Sun Yat-Sen was a Chinese philosopher, physician, and politician who strove to promote cultural understanding between China and the rest of the world and is considered to be the "Father of Modern China" due to his instrumental role in the overthrow of China’s last imperial dynasty, the Qing dynasty, in 1911.
