7 We had some time to kill before our gondola ride so we strolled around Banff whose main street is pedestrian-only with Cascade Mountain in the background.

10 After a failed attempt to take the public bus from town to the gondola, we resorted to calling a taxi. The cars are more personal-sized than the Jasper sky tram and they arrive and depart every minute or so.
11 Which means there's only 10-15 seconds to climb into the car, after which they close the door, push you off, and you're on your way.
