A woman slammed into me on a Friday evening and unfortunately the damage was enough to declare my baby a total loss
1 On Friday evening Oct 19, 2018 a young woman going in the opposite direction pulled a left hand turn into me and my baby. Luckily no one was hurt and she was cited and accepted 100% liability for violating my right of way. No airbags deployed nor fluids leaked in the Z, and in fact the tow operator was able to drive and position her for the flatbed. The woman's Hyundai Tucson fared much worse. Unfortunately, although the damage was appraised at "only" $13,000, that amounted to 70% of the appraised value and the insurance declared it a total loss. Total payout including taxes and fees ended up at $20,500 which seemed reasonable. However, it was extremely sad to let her go after all the fun years.
